Jerry Germer played jazz in various combos in norther Utah during his high school and college years. After moving to New Hampshire in the 1980s he played clarinet and bassoon in the Keene State College Band, and bassoon in the Keene Chamber Orchestra and the woodwind quintet, Quintessence. He has composed and published several pieces for woodwind quintets, and in 2000 he co-authored “Horning In: the Grown-Ups Guide to Making Music for Fun”, with his late wife Lucie. Jerry’s background in woodwinds informs his piano playing, which is finely-nuanced to complement Jayne’s singing.
